Condolence processions commemorate the death anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) in the holy city of Karbala

The condolence processions commemorated the death anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) at the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon them) in the holy city of Karbala.

The Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions and Bodies supervises the organization of the movement of processions and facilitates the performance of mourners for the condolence ceremony.

The assistant head of the Department; Sayed Kadhem Saleh, said that"Condolence processions flocked to the holy city of Karbala from various provinces, amid an atmosphere of sadness and sorrow to commemorate the death anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her)".

He added that"the condolence processions headed towards the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him) to offer condolences, and then to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the Two Holy Shrines, or vice versa".

"The department worked to organize the movement of the processions and the mourners participating in them in order to facilitate the performance of the condolence ceremony,"Saleh said.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to facilitate the holding of condolence events to commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and to provide services to the visitors of the holy shrines.
