Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq University (peace be upon him)/ Maysan branch confirmed that the Amira al-Sham Festival (Peace be upon her) contributes to immunizing young people intellectually and ideologically to confront extraneous ideas.
This came during the activities of the festival in its second edition, which was organized by the public relations department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, within the framework of the Al-Kafeel National Youth project in cooperation with the university, to commemorate the death anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) in Maysan.
Assistant rector of the University, Dr. Mohammed Ismail al-Khazali, said:"the festival is an important step in promoting ideological awareness among university youth, and reflects the role of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in spreading true Islamic values according to the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) curriculum.
"The festival is an opportunity to direct young people against Western and extraneous ideas that try to target their Islamic values, especially in light of attempts at Westernization aimed at distorting them from their religious constants,"he added.
Al-Khazali pointed to "the role of the holy shrine in activating these awareness programs, as it seeks to spread guidance among the Iraqi universities, "noting that" it contributes to achieving intellectual balance in universities by holding such events that seek to guide young people towards the correct Islamic awareness, and refute the deviant ideas that may spread in some educational institutions."
