Millions of visitors celebrated the funeral ceremony of the symbolic coffin of Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) in commemoration of his martyrdom anniversary at the shrine of Imam al-Jawad and Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon them) in the city of Kadhemiya.
Symbolic mourning is an annual tradition held by the lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as an expression of their sadness on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) on the twenty-fifth of the month of Rajab.
The symbolic funeral ceremony was attended by religious and social figures, and large crowds of visitors, who recalled the oppression of Imam Musa Ibn Ja'far (peace be upon him) and the tragedies that happened to him, and concluded the ceremony by reading the story of his martyrdom (peace be upon him).
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated through a special plan it had previously developed to serve mourners arriving in the city of Kadhemiya, which included providing meals, housing and transporting visitors, in addition to establishing medical detachments and bathroom complexes and supporting the service effort.
