The Karbala processions commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him), at the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

Sayed Sadeq Hussein Ja'far, one of the servants of the Zainabiya youth organization, said that"the Karbala processions started this Sunday morning, going to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), and then headed towards the shrine of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn(peace be upon him) passing through the square between the Two Holy Shrines, to offer condolences on this sad anniversary."

"The procession was interspersed with elegies and lamentations about this tragedy, amid an atmosphere in which sadness and sorrow clouded the mourners and visitors,"he added.

Jafar pointed out that"the people of the holy city of Karbala are keen to come out with condolence processions and establish special councils for the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them); in order to commemorate them and spread their knowledge and virtues."
