The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine counts its services provided to the visitors of Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) in Baghdad

The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine counted its services provided to the visitors of Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) on his martyrdom anniversary in the capital Baghdad.

The head of the delegation, Mr. Khalil Mahdi Hanoun, said: "the delegation of the holy shrine provided various services to the visitors who mourn the memory of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jafar Al-Kadhem (peace be upon them) in Baghdad in cooperation with the holy shrine, with the participation of 183 employees and 1035 volunteers from 9 departments and support sites, as well as the staff of the Abbas squad (peace be upon him)".

He added that " the holy shrine provided its services through its central procession on Sahib Al-Zaman Street (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) near the shrine of Imam al-Jawad and Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon them), for the fifteenth consecutive year on this painful occasion," noting that "the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) on the twenty-fifth of the month of Rajab is one of the largest major Ziyarat after the Ziyarat Arba'een and Ziyarat Ashura, because of the wide public participation."

"The procession services included the distribution of more than 60 thousand meals a day, as well as the meals provided by the procession over a period of 24 hours, so that the total meals provided on the days of the Ziyarat is 440 thousand meals, and the provision of 450 thousand glasses of Al-Kafeel water daily,"Hanoun said.

He explained that " the delegation provided Cultural Services represented by the deployment of 20 stations throughout the areas of the capital Baghdad; to teach the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha and short Surat, in addition to the establishment of Quranic forums and seminars and knowledge competitions for visitors, including: 5 Central stations, 10 sub-stations, and 5 stations dedicated to women, and a total of 150,500 visitors."

"The services of the holy shrine also included equipping ten camps and providing thousands of blankets to accommodate visitors, as for transportation, the holy shrine provided 15 buses to transport visitors from the axes of the city of Kadhemiya to the holy shrine to perform the Ziyarat ceremony, and the number of beneficiaries of transportation services reached 144 thousand visitors,"he said.

He stated that"the medical affairs department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has equipped three medical detachments distributed to the axes of the city, which provided multiple services, including pressure measurement, diabetes, emergency cases reception, in addition to the ECG device, two detachments were allocated for men and the third for women, and the number of beneficiaries reached 7072 visitors".

The delegation's staff worked on perfuming the shrine of Imam al-Jawad and Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon them) at a rate of three times a day, and providing 72 bathroom units distributed over three complexes equipped with water tanks, with the provision of 3 mechanisms for removing waste, each with a capacity of 6 tons, as the total removed waste amounted to 192 tons, according to the head of the delegation.
