The forum was held in its first edition under the title: (Ghaith al-Samaa) on the occasion of the International Day of the Holy Quran, as its activities began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha on the souls of the martyrs, and then the head of the division; Mrs. Fatima al-Mousawi delivered the opening speech, which included a tribute to the greatness of the Holy Quran and its pivotal role in human life.
In her speech, al-Mousawi stated that the Holy Qur'an has made the greatest change in human life that included all walks of life, and the Shiites of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) had the upper hand in taking care of it, working on studying and interpreting it, explaining its meanings and contents, and discovering its secrets and evidential verses.
The activities of the forum include the presentation of a series of lectures and Quranic activities, the recitation of poems and stanzas about the Prophet's Noble Mab'ath, in addition to the screening of two films: the first is an introduction to the work of the division and its various activities, the other is about the Hafedh "memorizer" of the Holy Quran Zainab Jafar, as well as honoring the winners of the "mercy for the Worlds" competition and distributing certificates of thanks and appreciation for the attendees and participants in its events.
