The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine launches the activities of the third prophet of mercy Festival at the University of Mosul

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched the activities of the third annual prophet of mercy cultural festival at the University of Mosul.

The festival was organized by the public relations department at the holy shrine, within the framework of the national Al-Kafeel youth project, in cooperation with the University of Mosul to commemorate the Prophet's Mission, with the wide participation of various groups, sects and nationalities, as well as religious, official and academic figures, as well as university students.

The festival began with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then the playing of the Iraqi national anthem, in addition to the anthem of the holy shrine (Pride's Melody).

The festival included a university speech delivered by the Scientific Assistant to the president of the University, Dr. Munir Salem Al-Badrani, followed by a speech by the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine delivered by Dr. Hassan Dakhel Al-Hasnawi, stating that "this communication has its worthy significance because it indicates on the one hand the academic institution's consideration of its religious values and its national and social obligations, and on the other hand indicates the openness of the religious institution to communicate with everyone and commitment to common national and human values, and this confirms the manifestations of holiness marked by the holy shrines, as their holiness comes from it embodies the highest moral principles and the highest human values that manifest meaning to live peacefully, to strive for social justice, to respect the other, to appreciate diversity and to sanctify the human being".

The festival included the recitation of poems and special religious poems on the occasion of the memory of the Prophet's Mission, and the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University participated by presenting a cultural play, in addition to honoring the winners of the Prophet's mercy cultural competition.

The festival witnessed the opening of the book and photo exhibition with the participation of the Departments of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs and Islamic and Humanitarian Knowledge Affairs of the holy shrine, in addition to the participation of the Central Library of the University.

The festival included the opening of the cultural stations represented by (the Qamar Forum Station, the Al-Kafeel Museum of the Treasures and Manuscripts station, the al-Fadl Center station for manuscripts, the Holy Quran writing station, the Al-Kafeel boys cultural competition station, the Human Development station, the peaceful coexistence station, and the first aid training station for students of the Faculty of Medicine/ Mosul University).
