The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in the activities of the seventh edition of the Annual Cultural Festival of Safety..

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, like the rest of holy shrines, participated in the activities of the seventh edition of the Annual Cultural Festival of Safety held by the board of Imam As-Sadeq (peace be upon him) in the prvince of Diwaniyah under the slogan "Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) the reviver of the religion's aspects and the clear water of the Mujahideen" to celebrate the birth anniversary of the awaited Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), and which last for four days.

The opening ceremony included many words of religious, cultural and academic figures from inside and outside Iraq, all of which were focused on this great personality and how to be inspired from him to face the challenges that beset the Islamic Ummah, particularly what goes on Iraq of facing the attacks of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, in addition to the establishment of book fairs, intellectuals productions and photos exhibitions as well as research sessions about the Mahdawi issue. The opening ceremony was attended by a wide presence of figures from 12 countries as well as the delegations of the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam Al-Hussayn, Imams Al-Kadhem and Al-Jawad and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them all).

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has a distinct participation in this festival through its participation in the book fair with a series of its publications, represented by its Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department, as well as the participation of the Service Affairs (Agriculture Division) with an exhibition of seedlings, ornamental and shade plants, and also has prepared the celebration hall, the exhibition and the podium, which was decorated with flowers and natural roses. Also the technical staff of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine contributed in the preparations of the festival's logistics.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participate frequently in various exhibitions and festivals within and outside Iraq, and that the number of its pavilion visitors is increasing, note that the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine represented by its institutions and various departments come to emphasize the constructional movement and the scientific renaissance of this sacred place, as the management of the holy shrine -after gaining back its legitimacy- has established an infrastructure and a technical, administrative and cultural structure that did not exist before the 9th of April 2003, to achieve the self-sufficiency and the sustainability of its activities and the development of its visitors' service.
