The start of the activities of the second day of the ceremony honoring the students of the Universities of Babylon wearing the Iraqi abaya

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine launched the activities of the second day of the seventh annual ceremony to honor Iraqi abaya-wearing students at universities in the province of Babylon.

The ceremony was organized by the public relations department at the holy shrine, under the slogan (the abaya is chastity and jihad), within the framework of the Al-Kafeel National Youth project, in cooperation with the Office of the Senior Official for women's affairs, in conjunction with the anniversary of the Blessed Sha'ban birth anniversaries.

The ceremony will be held for three days in the Sheikh al-Kulayni Complex, with the participation of more than 2000 students from the Universities of Babylon, Al-Qasim Al-Khadra, Hilla, the future and the colleges of Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) and of open education.

The ceremony was attended by the deputy secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Abbas Musa Ahmed, a member of its board of Directors; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, the director of the Office of its Senior Official; Sayed Jawad Al-Hasnawi, a number of heads of its departments and officials, representatives of the Office of the Senior Official for women's affairs, academic and religious figures and the families of the celebrated female students.

The ceremony began with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Ali al-Saadi, followed by reading Surah Al-Fatiha on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then listening to the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the holy shrine (Pride's Melody).

The ceremony includes multiple paragraphs, including an orientation speech to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by Sayed Adnan Gelokhan al-Moussawi, a speech by the Universities of Babylon Province provided by the director of the University of Babylon, Mr. Ahmed al-Zamili, a speech for the participating female students, in addition to a poem by the poet Mohammad al-Fatimi, in addition to showing a film entitled (abaya is a chastity and jihad), honoring female students memorizing the Holy Quran and wearing Iraqi abaya.

The ceremony comes within the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to promote religious and cultural values among female university students, and to emphasize the role of the Iraqi abaya as a symbol of chastity and national identity.
