It is worth mentioning that the Al-Abbas Combat Squad had announced on Wednesday afternoon , the 8th of Sha'ban 1436 AH corresponding to the 27th of May 2015 the complete liberation of the area of "Sayed Gharib" from the hands of terrorists and raising the Iraqi flag in it. This came within the operations of "Labbayka Ya Hussayn" launched on Tuesday 7th Sha'ban 1436 AH corresponding to the 26th May, 2015, which aimed freeing the area of "Sayed Gharib" and securing the Tigris and Nibai from the south as well as the facility of Muthanna down to Salahuddin to the north, which was the responsibility of the Al-Abbas Combat Squad.
