Urgent from the office of the supreme religious authority: The moon crescent for the Holy Month of Ramadan has not been sighted.

The office of His Eminence Sayed Ali Al-Husseini Al-Sistani announced that the moon crescent for the Holy Month of Ramadan has not been sighted on Wednesday night in Iraq and its neighboring regions, and that the believers should fast Thirsday with the intention of Qadaa or the intention of fasting the last day of Sha'ban, so if it is proven that it was a day from the Holy Month of Ramadan , it will suffice them.

And therefore Friday 19 June will be the first day of the blessed month. We congratulation the entire Muslim World on the advent of this virtuous month.
