The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine holds the third annual festival of auspicious birth anniversaries at the University of Qadisiyah

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held the activities of the third annual cultural festival of auspicious birth anniversaries at the University of Qadisiyah.

The festival was organized by the Department of Public Relations at the holy shrine, within the framework of the Al-Kafeel National Youth project, in cooperation with the University of Qadisiyah.

The activities of the festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, read by the reader, Sajjad al-Tamimi, followed by a welcome speech to the University of Qadisiya, delivered by the dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Sattar al-Janabi, and a speech to the holy shrine, delivered by Sheikh Harith al-Dahi, which stated: "some believe that removing restrictions means freedom, but often it is a cause of chaos and imbalance in the general behavior of society, maintaining basic laws that take into account the interests of people, is necessary to achieve interests and prevent corruption, which is what the legal rules in Islam are all about,"he said."

He added that, " the Islamic religion is based on three basic pillars: belief, sharia rulings, and moral behavior, as the belief is based on reason and reflection on the universe, and the sharia rulings represent a balance that must be understood and applied to achieve balance in the life of the individual and society, as interests cannot be achieved in an environment dominated by corruption, even if decorated with bright slogans, or formal laws that do not serve man sincerely."

The festival included a number of events, including: reciting poems and religious songs, in which the poet, Dhulfikar Jal'awi, and the singer Mohammed Amir Tamimi participated.

The festival included honoring (313) female students wearing the Iraqi abaya inside the university campus, in addition to honoring the contributors to the organization of the festival.

The festival witnessed several cultural events, including: the opening of Al-Kafeel Youth Cultural stations to enhance the culture of students through their participation in discussions, workshops, seminars, and various lectures that contribute to raising the cultural and developmental level of students, in addition to book and photo exhibitions.
