As an appreciation and recognition for their sacrifices, the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honours families of the martyrs of the popular mobilization's volunteers.

Within its support plan of the popular mobilization, the security forces and their martyrs and care for their families, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine honoured a group of families of martyrs who had responded to the call of the religious authority to defend Iraq and its sanctities in Najaf province.

The honour ceremony was held in cooperation with the Imam Ali's (p) holy shrine with the presence of its Secretary-General, Sayed. Nizar Hashem Habl Al-Matin, who has an intervention: "The martyrs are the leaders and the glittering stars on the eternity's horizon and they represent the road drawn by Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and without them, the peace's light would not shine and the safety tent could not gather us. The martyrs are the glare that never fades and the lamp that never extinguishes, they are enlightening the roads of victory and glory as we are people who do not accept ignominy and our leader has given us a timeless lesson from the sky of Karbala when he said: "Hayhat minna ddhillah" and "We are people to whom the Killing is a habit and our dignity from God is the martyrdom."

Sayed Habl Al-Matin addressed his words to the families of martyrs: "Dear beloved ones, O you who have lost your dearest, you can take the best example from Imam Ali, Al-Hussayn, Ali Akbar, Al-Abbas, Al-Qassem and all other martyrs. You have defended the religion and know that God will give you the best rewards."

As for Sheikh Majed Al-Sultani, the representative of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, he stated: "In this blessed day, we have honoured a group of families of martyrs who have answered the call of the religious authority in the holy city of Najaf, and rushed to the fronts, presenting all they have for the religion and the homeland. And we came from the vicinity of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas and his brother Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon both of them) to the shrine of their father; the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) so we can care and honour nearly 50 families of martyrs in recognition and appreciation for their pure sacrifices for the sake of the homeland and the religion, and we have honoured nearly 2600 families from all the provinces. And there is a constant and fruitful cooperation between the two holy shrines of Imam Ali and that of Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) to support and honour the families of the martyrs, and these initiatives will continue under the auspices of the supreme religious authority directives."
