The American Wilson Center published an article by the Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, about the importance of archiving Baathist crimes for Iraqi researchers.
The article was entitled (The archive of the Baath regime: the Hoover Institution acquires the documentary archive of the conflict records Research Center), and showed the importance of the Iraqi archive, especially the archive of the Baath regime in the studies of Iraqi researchers.
The writer, Dr. Qais Nasser, called on one of the center's staff, the Hoover Institution, which acquired the Iraqi archive, to create an electronic platform that enables researchers inside Iraq to access the available documentary collections.
The American Wilson Center is interested in studying the Iraqi archives of the Ba'athit regime, which shows the importance of these documents in understanding Iraqi history and analyzing its repercussions at the regional and international levels.
This step shows the cooperation between international and local research centers in shedding light on historical and political issues of interest to Iraq and the world.
