A medical team at Al-Kafeel Hospital successfully removes stones from the salivary gland of a young man

An Iraqi medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital successfully removed stones from the salivary gland of a young man in the third decade of life.

"A 31-year-old patient visited the hospital suffering from a problem in the submandibular salivary gland, and after conducting the necessary medical tests, including magnetic resonance imaging, it turned out that there were six stones in the gland, which caused him a blockage,"said Dr. Radwan al-Taie, a specialist in maxillofacial surgery at the hospital.

"The patient underwent a precise and successful surgery during which we were able to remove the stones and remove the blockage, without any health complications, after which he left the hospital in good health," al-Taie added, attributing this success to the modern technologies and the specialized medical team at the Center for brain and facial surgery at the hospital."
