The Al-Abbas's (P)holy shrine offers more than 10 thousand iftar meals to visitors in the Umm al-Baneen courtyard (peace be upon them)

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provided more than 10 thousand iftar meals to visitors in the Umm al-Baneen Courtyard (peace be upon them) on the last Thursday night of the holy month of Ramadan.

Mr. Khalil Mehdi Hanoun, head of the Courtyard care department at the holy shrine, said: "the Umm al-Baneen Courtyard (peace be upon her), in addition to its basement, witnessed the presentation of more than 10,000 iftar meals to visitors, including various types of foods, on the last Thursday night of the holy month of Ramadan."

He added that"the streets and alleys near the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) also witnessed the provision of many iftar meals to visitors to the holy city of Karbala, which witnessed a large influx on this blessed night".

The holy shrine has prepared a special plan to serve visitors on the days and nights of the holy month of Ramadan, especially on Thursday nights, which witness the arrival of large numbers of visitors to the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), including providing iftar meals, preparing places for visitors to sit and organizing their movement, as well as perfuming the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to ensure a suitable atmosphere for them.

The plan includes the distribution of Iftar to the worshippers in the Holy Courtyard, during their performance of Maghrib and Isha prayers, as well as the distribution of blankets to visitors outside the Holy Shrine, and the establishment of a special procession on the Qibla Gate Street, to serve tea throughout the nights of the holy month.
