A Russian delegation reviews the artifacts of the Kafeel Museum and praises the preservation methods.

The Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine received a Russian delegation consisting of experts and specialists in the field of archaeology.

The assistant head of the museum department, Dr. Shawqi al-Moussawi, said, "We received a specialized Russian delegation in the field of archaeology, which conducted a comprehensive tour of the museum's facilities," confirming that "they praised the documentation, display, and storage methods employed by the museum to preserve its collections."

He added, "The Al-Kafeel Museum is open to museums around the world, and there will be close cooperation in terms of training and qualification, as well as the exchange of expertise with the Hermitage Museum in the future."

For his part, the head of the Russian excavation mission in Iraq, Professor Alexei Jankovsky, expressed his admiration for what the Kafeel Museum has achieved in terms of museum work methods, collections, and information since 2003 until now.

He added that "the Kafeel Museum houses many diverse artifacts, making it a comprehensive Islamic museum," pointing out that "the near future will witness close cooperation with the museum to elevate museum performance to the highest levels in all aspects."
