The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine receives the banner of mourning for Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) from the Kadhemiyah Holy Shrine

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine receives the mourning banner of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) from the Kadhemiyah Shrine to raise it in commemoration of his martyrdom on the 25th of the month of Shawwal.

The delegation was received by members of the Board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Dr. Abbas al-Dadah al-Moussawi and Dr. Afdhal al-Shami.

The Director of the Kadhemiyah Center for Reviving Heritage at the Kadhemiyah Holy Shrine; Sheikh Imad al-Kadhemi, said: "We visited the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to deliver the flag of mourning and condolences for the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him), which falls on the twenty-fifth of the month of Shawwal."

He added, "This initiative is part of the Ja'fari Week, which started from the Kadhemiyah Holy Shrine and includes a series of activities, the most prominent of which is raising the banner of mourning and condolences to announce our grief on this sorrowful occasion."

Al-Kadhemi continued, "It is our duty to commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to inform people of their oppression, especially concerning the Imams of Baqi' (peace be upon them). We hope that next year the flag will be raised at the holy shrine in Baqi'."

He mentioned that "the unity of visions among the holy shrines in Iraq and their participation in commemorating these occasions reflects a unified goal in spreading the thought of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)," emphasizing that "the holy shrines remain a spiritual refuge for believers and Muslims from all over the world."
