Most of works at the Al-Kafeel Hospital are accomplished and the medical devices arrived and installed.

Engineer Majeed Al-Sa'igh; the head of the Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) announced at the Al-Kafeel Network the following: "The civil, mechanic and electric works of the project of the specialized Al-Kafeel Hospital have been completed according to the engineering and technical plans in line with planned time. The percentage of completion has reached 90% and the remaining works won't take long to be completed too. The project with the blessings of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) will alleviate the health suffering of the Iraqi citizens and we hope that this project will answer te ambition of the holy shrine in this vital and important field."
He added: "The hospital consisted of three phases, the first and the main phase: The main building of the hospital which proportion achieved 93%. The second phase is the nurses' housing and its annexes reaching 90% and the last phase is of supplying the hospital with the devices and the medical devices, which once received were installed according to the plan without any intersection with other works, reaching 87 % of completion. According to all of this and to the agreement with the executive company of the project (Arkhameedis Engineering company from India and the Iraqi group of Al-Baldawi companies) the first part of the project will be finalized so the operating works follow for two months, then will be the inauguration, God willing."
Mr. Al-Sa'igh explained: "The current works in the project are of the secondary ceilings and the covering of the main entrances and walls in addition to some of the finishing works reaching 75% of completion. Also the works of the outer parking are reaching 20 % of completion without affecting workflow, this parking is of a capacity going from 150 to 200 vehicles."
It is to mention that the hospital is established on an estimated area of 5000m2 of 6 floors, consisting of 135 beds according to the speciality section. It also includes 12 operation rooms, emergency halls, consulting offices and external offices. The aim of the establishment of this project is to support the health sector in Iraq in general and in the province of Karbala in particular, and to complement the previous health projects and to help the local governement which is implementng currently many health projects, as a contribution of the holy shrines of the holy city of Karbala in covering the shortage in the health field.
