The Al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine is covered in black in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him)

The staff of the Department for the Care of the Holy Courtyard at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine posted signs of sorrow and consolation in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him).

The head of the Department, Mr. Khalil Mehdi Hanoun, said:"the staff of the Department spread the black signs of sadness, embroidered with expressions of sympathy for the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him); to show the area around the holy shrine in a manner befitting the size of the sad occasion."

He added that"the Holy Shrine raised the flag of sorrow at the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and condolence councils are held in the Holy Courtyard; in commemoration of this great anniversary and in commemoration of the biography of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him)".

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to revive the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and to introduce their science, thought and values; in the service of religion and society.
