The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched the closing ceremony of the eighth edition of the annual eloquence competition.
The competition is organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the holy shrine, as part of the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project, under the slogan "Knights of Eloquence in the Oasis of Generosity and Eloquence," and titled "Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) - A School of Free Thought."
The closing ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Murtada Aal Dia-Uddin, and his deputy, Engineer Abbas Mousa Ahmed, in addition to several members of its Board of Directors, department heads, and officials, as well as official, educational, and academic figures.
The closing ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha, the national anthem, and the anthem of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine (The Pride's Melody).
The events included a speech from the Iraqi Ministry of Education, another from the competition's judging committee, a video presentation, the recitation of several poems, and speeches by the students who won the top positions.
Sixty students participated in the competition, representing 20 educational directorates from the Iraqi provinces, with three participants from each directorate.
The competition is part of a series of activities organized by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to develop the skills of students in Iraqi schools and support student talents of various age groups.
