The closing ceremony of the International Cultural Festival of Imam Al-Baqir (peace be upon him)..

The closing ceremony of the first edition of the International Cultural Festival of Imam Al-Baqir (peace be upon him), which was held for two days under the slogan "Imam Al-Baqir the clear beacon and the enlightening science", was held on Saturday 8th Shawwal 1436 AH corresponding to the 25th July 2015 in the hall of Culture's Palace in the holy city of Karbala.
The closing ceremony began with the word of the Preparatory Committee of the festival delivered on behalf by its member and the Vice Chairman of the Department of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sayed. 'Aqeel Abd Al-ussayn Al-Yassiri in which he stated after presenting his thanks and appreciation to all who have contributed and participated in this event: "This festival will be more important in the coming editions God willing, and we aspire though which to highlight even a small side of this great personality from the descendants of the holy prophet (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy household), this personality who has influenced the Islamic nation after suffering from different kinds of deviations."
Sayed 'Aqeel Al-Yassiri concluded his speech by reading a set of recommendations of the conferees who have participated in the first edition of the International Cultural Festival of Imam Al-Baqir (peace be upon him), as tey recommended the following:
1- The expansion of the participants' circle in the festival and opening to the outer world to attract the maximum number of pens so the festival can be international.
2- The issuance of protest document in the name of the conferees against the ignorance of the world to the destruction of the ideological and archaeological islamic landmarks of the cemetery of Al-Baqi', and claiming the World Organization UNESCO to intervene to protect and rebuild it as it is a neutral international body for the protection of the human heritage.
3- Making each edition of this festival earmarked to a specific topic from the intellectual life Imam Al-Baqir (peace be upon him) and his school.
4- Printing the participating research in a special book entitled by the name of the festival and its edition and make it a periodic publication.
After that, the media from the satellite channels, magazines, newspapers and websites were honored for their efforts throughout the festival, then appreciation certificates and shields were distributed to the guests and participants of the festival.
