Al-Sidr Farm begins harvesting 40 dunams of wheat crop

The staff of the Al-Sidr Model Farm affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have begun harvesting 40 dunams of wheat crop.

The farm manager; Sayed Ameer Hussein Abdul Aoun, said, "Our teams have started their work on harvesting the wheat crop for the current agricultural season, covering 40 dunams of the cultivated area."

He added that "the planted wheat is of the (Al-Wafiya) variety, which is considered one of the best existing varieties," noting that "the expected production for this season will reach 50 to 60 tons."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on developing the agricultural sector, reclaiming desert lands, increasing production, and employing the workforce through its pioneering projects in this field.
