Holding the sixth annual festival to celebrate the marriage of Imam Ali to Lady Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon them)

Under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the sixth annual festival to celebate the marriage of Imam Ali to Lady Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon them) was held, organized by the Noor al-Hussein (peace be upon him) Committee.

The festival was attended by the head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the Holy Shrine; Mr. Aqeel al-Yasiri, and the assistant head of the Public Relations Department; Sheikh Mohammad Jawad al-Salami.

Al-Salami said, "The festival is held under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and its Senior Official; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, with the aim of celebrating the marriage of the Commander of the Faithful to Lady Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon them)."

For his part, the head of the authority, Mr. Saad al-Haj Ali, confirmed that "the authority, in cooperation with the holy shrine, is organizing its celebration for the sixth consecutive year on the occasion of the marriage of Imam Ali to Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon them), in the Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) hall inside the holy shrine."

He added that "the festival included the recitation of a collection of poems that spread an atmosphere of joy among the attendees, with the participation of several poets," pointing out that the departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine made significant efforts to ensure the success of the activities.
