Projects Department: The al-Ataa site produces sand, gravel, and base according to engineering standards with high quality

The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine confirmed that the factories at the al-Ataa site produce sand, gravel, and subbase according to engineering standards with high quality.

The Director of Construction Industries Sites in the department, Engineer Bassam al-Hashimi, said: "The al-Ataa site project is one of the construction formations affiliated with the Engineering Projects Department. It includes seven specialized factories for producing raw materials used in engineering constructions, including factories for producing sand, gravel in all its gradations, crushed stone, and subbase material."

He added that the monthly production of sand at the site is about 11,000 cubic meters, and the production of gravel is about 12,000 cubic meters, while the production of subbase is about 15,000 cubic meters, and the production of gresh is about 5,000 cubic meters. He pointed out that the site has special quarries for producing these materials using modern methods, in addition to washing them with low-salinity water.

He added that the materials produced by the site are subject to standard engineering specifications, as the site contains quality control laboratories that inspect the materials, and then samples are sent for testing in the engineering construction laboratory affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, to ensure their high-quality production.

He explained that the site's outputs supply the holy shrine projects with all their raw material requirements, in addition to daily supplying construction industry sites, including the northern and southern concrete production plants, and five lines for block and cornice production.
