The festival was organized by the University and school Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the holy shrine within the Al-Kafeel National Youth project, in cooperation with the Technical Institute in Najaf, affiliated with the University.
Mr. Mustafa Arsan from the division, said that"the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as part of the series of festivals that it holds in universities and institutes to honor Iraqi abaya wearers, held the festival (Rawnaq al-'Effah) in cooperation with the Technical Institute in Najaf Al-Ashraf".
He added that"this festival is the conclusion of that series of festivals, which included honoring more than 11 thousand female students wearing the Iraqi abaya inside the university campus".
For his part, the administrative assistant to the dean of the Technical Institute, Dr. Ali Mohammed Haider, said that "holding such festivals contributes to combining academic specialization and religious awareness, to graduate generations capable of building their homeland at a firm Pace and an authentic identity".
He explained that"the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is always a pioneer in holding events and activities that express the extent of interest in the university environment, and provide support for the educational process in a way that contributes to preserving the national and religious identity of the university students".
The festival witnessed the presentation of an orientation lecture delivered by Mr. Mohammed Abdullah al-Mousawi from the holy shrine, in which he stressed the importance of adhering to the Islamic hijab, wearing the abaya, being chaste, and promoting religious awareness to face the intellectual challenges surrounding society, in addition to the poetic participation of the poet Mohammed al-Fatimi.
The administration of the Technical Institute in Najaf presented a tribute to the organizers of the festival from the delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
