Inauguration of an exhibition of historical photos and documents as part of the National Day for Mass Graves

The events of the National Day for Mass Graves in Iraq witnessed the opening of an exhibition of historical photos and documents.

The Iraqi Center for Documenting Extremism Crimes, affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, is holding National Day events under the slogan: "In mass graves... the truth was hidden, but not buried," in the holy city of Najaf.

The director of the center, Dr. Abbas al-Quraishi, said, "The events concluded with the opening of a photographic and documentary exhibition documenting the crimes committed against the Iraqi people from various components and sects."

He added that "the exhibition was held to serve as a witness for generations, especially the youth, to learn about the severe violations their parents and grandparents were subjected to by the previous regime."

The exhibition included a collection of photos and documents that document the crimes of genocide, with the aim of highlighting the immense sacrifices made by the Iraqi people in the face of oppression and tyranny.
