Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine: Completion of the northern section of the project to expand the streets surrounding the holy shrine

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine confirmed the completion of the northern section of the project to expand the streets surrounding the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Engineer Abbas Mousa Ahmed, said: "The project was launched in 2014 with the approval of the Council of Ministers, and our teams have been working since then. Today, we have completed the northern side entirely, in addition to the progress on the southern side. We will then move on to the eastern and western sides according to the project's planned schedule."

He added that "the project includes the construction of the Umm al-Baneen courtyard (peace be upon her), the expansion of the holy shrine's guesthouse, and the provision of sanitary facilities. It aims to prepare suitable spaces to accommodate the large numbers of visitors throughout the year, especially during the Ziyarat of the 10th of Muharram and Arba'een."

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aims, through the expansion works in the areas surrounding the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), to accommodate the increasing number of visitors and facilitate their movement during the major Ziyarats.
