Completion of the second phase of installing mirrors for the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The Maintenance and Engineering Construction Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has completed the second phase of the mirror installation works for the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The head of the mirror unit in the department, Mr. Hassan Saeed, said: "The department's staff have completed the second phase of restoring and installing mirrors on the ceiling of the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), covering an area of 80 square meters."

He added that "the work included removing the damaged materials from the old mirrors while ensuring the preservation of the fingerprints on the mirror engravings specific to the Taremah ceiling."

He explained that "these works were carried out by Iraqi hands using mirrors with a thickness of 2 mm, which contributed to the completion of the work with high precision and outstanding quality."

The mirror pieces are installed in geometric shapes that match the design, by Iraqi hands, using high-efficiency mirrors from global sources.
