The procession was attended by the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Aal Dia-Uddin, and a number of department heads and officials.
The procession included a condolence March that started from the beginning of Murad gate street leading to the shrine of the two holy Imams (peace be upon them), with the participation of most of the parties of the city of Karbala and its varieties and Husseini bodies, in addition to the people, to conclude afterwards by holding a condolence Council in the shrine of the holy shrine.
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine worked on logistics and service matters, including the provision of special vehicles for transporting visitors back and forth from the city of Karbala to the capital Baghdad, as well as the process of coordinating the movement of the procession.
The people of the holy city of Karbala used to go down annually with a unified funeral procession to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him), at his holy shrine in the city of Kadhemiya.
