The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds a mourning council to commemorate the martyrdom ammiversary of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him)

The Hussaini Preaching Division of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held its annual mourning assembly to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohammad al-Baqer (peace be upon him).

The speaker of the council, Sheikh Dhafir al-Najafi, said: "The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine holds a mourning council in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him)."

He added that "the council reviewed aspects of Imam al-Baqer's (peace be upon him) biography, his injustices, his sciences and virtues, and his role in establishing Islamic values and spreading knowledge and the teachings of Islam."

Al-Najafi explained that "the mourning councils held by the holy shrine aim to spread preaching and guidance by addressing a number of topics that reinforce Islamic values, including religious, doctrinal, ethical, and historical rulings."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) by preparing a comprehensive mourning program, which includes holding mourning councils and providing services to the visitors.
