In cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Marjan Hospital makes rare surgeries

Within its series of activities and attracting Iraqi medical competencies from outside the country in order to conduct surgical operations and to take advantage of their expertise, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine invited Dr. Ali Nawras, specialist of diseases of digestive system at Toledo University in Ohio, USA to conduct surgeries for some patients in coordination with Marjan Hospital in the province of Babylon, which comes in order to gain considerable experience in various health fields.
Doctor Ali Hussayn Al-Shammari, director of the Center of digestive system and liver in Marjan Hospital, has explained to Al-Kafeel Network: "We are honoured to receive Dr. Ali Nawras, specialist of diseases of digestive system at Toledo University in Ohio, USA, a persevering professor, with whom we have treated some rare cases which, thank God, were successful. And we hope that his work will be a support for the scientific and medical movement in Iraq in general and in Hillah, in particular, learning from his experiences. And we thank the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for its support to supplement the scientific movement in Iraq, in addition to its religious and humanitarian support. The doctor who comes, conducts surgeries and at the same time gives scientific lectures, to teach modern medical informations from global centers to our center's staff."
Professor Ali Talib Nawras, specialist of diseases of digestive system and head of endoscopy department at Toledo University in Ohio, USA stated: "Each time I come to Iraq, I consider it as a win-win situation because I feel I am indebted to my dear country. And even though we live far away from Iraq but our hearts and souls are still thinking of it, that is why we are trying to provide everything we can to serve our homeland and its people, and I am very pleased that I am present today at the Center of digestive system at Marjan Hospital, as we examined lot of patients' cases and we were successful to alleviate their sufferings. In fact, each time I come here, I notice the growing progress of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine at all levels, which is a good bode of the integrity of the Islamic project that takes in consideration most aspects of life, May God give them the best of rewards. And I would love to give two advices to the doctors, first is to always remember that we we swore upon our graduation to always serve the patients as it is the bas eof our profession, and the second advice is too our fellow citizens to try to disseminate health education among them as prevention is better than cure."
It is worth mentioning that this activity is part of a series of activities held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to bring Iraqi talents living abroad in order to exchange ideas, to learn from their scientific and medical expertise and to work on their elaboration and development.
