The people of Karbala carried the symbolic coffin of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) at the two holy shrines

The procession of the people of holy Karbala commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohammad al-Baqer (peace be upon him) by carrying his symbolic coffin at the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The symbolic funeral procession is an annual tradition that the Karbala residents' procession is keen to hold, with the participation of several Karbala organizations and processions from various parts, in cooperation with the Department of Hussaini Rituals and Processions; as an expression of their sorrow and grief over this tragedy.

The symbolic funeral procession began from the Bab Baghdad area, passing through the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and then the procession headed to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to offer condolences on this tragic occasion.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on holding mourning ceremonies and spreading signs of sorrow during religious occasions that revive the matter of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
