The assistant head of the Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussaini Bodies, Mr. Muhammad Al-Turfi, said: "The people of holy Karbala, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, have been accustomed to commemorating the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir at the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf Ashraf."
He added that the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine worked on preparing logistical and service matters, including providing buses for transporting visitors to and from the shrine. He pointed out that the celebration included the recitation of poetry and religious hymns, spreading an atmosphere of joy inside the courtyard of Imam Ali's shrine (peace be upon him), where the people of Karbala have been celebrating this occasion for the fourth consecutive year.
The procession is considered an annual tradition that the people of holy Karbala are keen to celebrate and commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
