Exquisite works of art performed by the Unit of Mirrors at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine

Continuous works for the mirrors of the holy shrine carried out by the mirrors Unit of the Department of engineering maintenance at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, removing the damaged mirrors and replacing them with other mirrors inlaid with brilliant colours and beautiful inscriptions, which comes within the ongoing works of the development and maintenance of all facilities and buildings of the holy shrine.
The official of Mirrors' Unit; Mr.Hassan Saeed explained to Al-Kafeel Network: "Our works continue for replacing the mirrors of the holy shrine, and up to now we have realised three arches of Al-Qibla gate, the first is the arc's wall, which is directly above the gate as we removed the damaged mirrors, maintained and restructured the Muqarnas, as well as the arc close to the shrine and inlaid the mirrors with colours -for the first time at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine- and with varied inscriptions, with the lighting frames that have been developed at the As-Saqqa site of the holy shrine in addition to opening another site for the gate of Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon him), working with the same style to realise the first arc, and we are currently replacing the mirrors behind the sanctuary from the side of the gate of Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon him) as most of the mirrors there are damaged."
Adding: "We encountered difficulty in the Muqarnas structure, which is severely damaged at the gates of Al-Qibla and Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon him) because of the ongoing excavation works at the holy shrine, some cracks appeared while those previously existing have expanded. But praise to God, we have worked on their maintenance in addition to the mirrors works, which demands addition efforts to not delay the work and to respect the accomplishing time we asked the help of staff from outside the holy shrine paying them with daily wages in addition to our staff in the unity of mirrors, and the completion percentage has reached 35%."
It is worth mentioning that the works of the Mirrors' Unit are continuous through the maintenance of the mirrors inside the holy shrine to give a kind of aesthetic by adding colourful mirrors and focusing the lights on them.
