The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continues to hold its Hussaini mourning councils to commemorate the month of Muharram of the year 1447 AH for the fourth consecutive day.
The gathering held in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was attended by several members of the board of directors of the holy shrine, heads of its departments, and officials, along with a large number of mourning visitors.
The council began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a lecture delivered by Mr. Hisham Al-Battat, in which he discussed the milestones of Imam al-Hussayn, his family, and his companions (peace be upon them) on their journey to Karbala, highlighting the values embodied by that journey, from the support of truth and the revival of justice to the images of patience, sacrifice, and redemption.
The gathering concluded with the recitation of elegies and Hussaini poems that embodied the painful memory, instilling deep sorrow and great pain in the hearts, amidst an atmosphere of sadness that enveloped the attendees.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on holding Hussaini gatherings with the aim of reviving the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and conveying their knowledge, virtues, and noble conduct.
