For the sixth day... The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine commemorates the tragedy of Ashura in the holy courtyard

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continues to hold its central mourning council in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) for the sixth day of the month of Muharram in the year 1447 AH.

The Husseini preaching division at the holy shrine oversees the councils held during the first ten days of the month, with the presence of several officials and servants of the holy shrine, in addition to the visitors.

The council included a lecture delivered by Mr. Hisham Al-Battat, in which he discussed the lessons learnt from Imam al-Hussayn's (peace be upon him) revolution and its impact on contemporary Islamic reality, emphasising the importance of drawing inspiration from the values and principles for which the Imam and his pure family (peace be upon them) sacrificed.

The council concluded with the recitation of elegies and poems that depicted the scenes of sorrow and the painful tragedy of Ashura, amidst an atmosphere filled with grief.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on holding Hussaini councils with the aim of commemorating the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and transmitting their knowledge, virtues, and noble conduct.
