The Al-Kafeel Water Factory, affiliated with the Al-Kafeel Food Industries Company at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, announced the distribution of more than 198,000 boxes of water on the first day of the month of Muharram, 1447 AH.
The distribution process was carried out in coordination with the various departments of the holy shrine, especially the service departments that deal directly with the visitors, to ensure that water reaches the largest number of visitors and Hussaini processions spread throughout the holy city of Karbala.
The factory had previously completed the installation of two new machines with a total production capacity of 60,000 cups of water per hour, in order to meet the increasing demand for bottled water on Ziyarat days, thereby contributing to the increase in production capacity.
The factory staff work around the clock to secure a strategic water stockpile and ensure the continuous distribution for the Hussaini processions and visitors, based on the factory's commitment to serving the visitors and providing their basic needs, especially during peak times.
The factory is keen to keep pace with the annual increase in the number of visitors arriving in the holy city of Karbala from inside and outside Iraq, by developing its production lines and enhancing their efficiency, in line with the directives of the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in serving the Hussaini cause.
