The councils held during the first ten days of Muharram in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are overseen by the Hussaini Preaching Division at the holy shrine, with the presence of several of its officials and servants, alongside a group of visitors.
Mr. Hisham Al-Battat lectured at the council, reviewing the biography of Al-Qasem ibn Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mojtaba (peace be upon them), his honourable stances, and sacrifices in supporting the truth, his adherence to his principles, and his refusal to abandon his uncle Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and his reformist revolution.
The council concluded with the recitation of elegies and poems that depicted the scenes of sorrow and the painful tragedy of Ashura, amidst an atmosphere filled with grief.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is keen on holding Hussaini councils with the aim of reviving the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and conveying their knowledge, virtues, and noble conduct.
