The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine commemorated the eve of the tenth of Muharram through a mourning assembly held in the honors' hall.
The council, attended by a number of the servants and officials of the holy shrine, as well as a group of mourning visitors, commemorated the tragic event of Ashura. The voices of the attendees rose in sorrow for the suffering of Imam al-Hussayn, his family, and his companions (peace be upon them).
The council concluded with the recitation of elegies and Hussaini poems that expressed the memory of the painful tragedy, amidst an atmosphere of sorrow and grief that enveloped the attendees.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on holding Hussaini councils with the aim of reviving the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and conveying their knowledge, virtues, and noble conduct.
