The people of the holy city of Karbala organised the Hussaini Candle March to commemorate the eve of the tenth of Muharram.

The procession, which included a large gathering of mourners, set off towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), passing through the area between the two holy shrines.

The mourners recalled the painful tragedies that befell Imam al-Hussayn, his family (peace be upon them), and his companions during the Battle of Karbala, amidst an atmosphere of sorrow and grief that enveloped the participants.

The staff of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine worked on providing the necessary organisational and logistical services to ensure the success of the procession and the commemoration of this sorrowful night.
