The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine discusses with the Karbala tribes the preparations for commemorating the burial of the holy bodies

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a meeting with the Karbala tribes and their leaders to discuss preparations for commemorating the burial of the holy bodies.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussaini Organizations, Mr. Qasem al-Tarfi, said: "The meeting discussed with the Karbala tribes and their leaders the preparations for the mourning of the 13th of Muharram, which includes about 120 processions to commemorate the burial of the holy bodies."

He added that "the meeting discussed the mechanism for organizing the entry and exit of the processions from the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and determining their descent times to ensure the smooth entry and exit from the holy courtyard."

On his part, Sheikh of the Bani Asad tribe in the Middle Euphrates, Mr. Zuhair Youssef, mentioned that "the mourning procession of the Bani Asad tribe is one of the oldest processions, with its members going out on the thirteenth of Muharram every year to commemorate the burial of the holy bodies."

He explained that "the mourning procession starts from the shrine of Sayed Jawad towards the street leading to the Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) shrine's entrance, then proceeds to the holy courtyard of Imam al-Hussayn, and finally heads towards the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) through the area between the two holy shrines."
