The ceremony included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of the Ziyarat of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and the anthem "Lahn al-Iba (Pride's Melody)" then the voices rose in chanting the poems and elegies that embodied the tragedy of Ashura, evoking the oppression of Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) and his companions, in addition to a poignant remembrance of the scene of burying the holy bodies of Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) and his companions.
The servants of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds the worship rituals on Mondays and Thursdays of every week.
