A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced the successful completion of a surgical operation for a patient suffering from scoliosis.
The neurosurgery specialist at the hospital, Dr. Hossam Al-Anbari, said that "a specialized medical team at the hospital successfully performed a delicate and complex surgery on a 37-year-old patient suffering from severe back pain extending to the legs."
He added that "medical tests such as X-rays and MRI scans showed a deviation in the spine with narrowing of the spinal canal," noting that "this condition is rare at such a young age."
Al-Anbari explained that "the team performed a two-stage surgical operation on the patient, in the first stage the spine was adjusted and the vertebrae were stabilized, and in the second stage the spinal cord and nerve roots were freed," confirming that "the operation was successful and the patient is in good health."
Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital continues to provide its medical services, using the latest surgical technologies to treat complex and rare cases.
