Al-Kafeel Nursery Group: Adding about 70 new types of plants suitable for local climatic conditions

The Al-Kafeel Nursery Group, affiliated with the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, confirmed the addition of about 70 types of plants and seedlings that are suitable for the climatic conditions in Iraq.

The head of the Al-Kafeel Nurseries Group, Mr. Muhammad Harbi, said: "Three containers of plants and both shade and non-shade plants have been imported from outside Iraq, comprising about 70 types of plants and seedlings that were carefully selected to ensure their compatibility with the local climatic conditions."

He added that "there is an effort to expand work in the field of import to include a number of global and regional countries, including Turkey, China, and the Netherlands; with the aim of importing different types of seedlings and containers, which contributes to diversifying the offered agricultural products."

He explained that "the imported containers include benches with various specifications and sizes, made from different materials, such as ceramic, fiberglass, and plastic, which are used to decorate streets and homes."

Harbi pointed out that "Al-Kafeel Nurseries contribute to supplying the local market with high-quality locally produced plants and flowers, as part of a comprehensive vision to support the agricultural sector and enhance agricultural self-sufficiency in the country."
