Three educational projects opened by the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)..

The reconstruction process continues in all holy shrines of Karbala, and day after the other there are new sophisticated projects. And among the projects that the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) focused upon are the educational projects, as it has opened the project of women activities that includes three institutions that are: the Institute of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) for the women Tableegh, Secondary school Rayhana Al-Warith for Girls and the Lady Zaynab School for women Hawza studies. And these projects come within the plan developed by the holy shrine for the advancement of the educational field and to contribute in its enhancement.
The Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbalai explained in his speech the following: "There is no shadow of doubt that science, knowledge and education are very important in the current time, ane they are two bases upon which the person can build his personality, happiness and the walk of the society towards the perfect character that suits the best of God's creation. And these three projects are special to women (The Institute of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) for the women Tableegh, Secondary school Rayhana Al-Warith for Girls and the Lady Zaynab School for women Hawza studies.) As woman has an essential, serious and important role for the construction of the individual, the family and the society, and we have to give her the interest worthy of her role and function. The first step is educating and cultivating her in accordance to the assigned roles to her, which depends first on school, second on the educational and moral discipline and third on the awareness and the perception of the nature of her role in the society, which is divided between the family and building its structure in accordance with rules set by Islam and showed its role outside the family environment fitting its special character as a woman, teacher, educator and conveying the rules and human knowledge. So there must be a right awareness and understanding to the nature of these roles without letting her wander amid absurdity and loss."
The head of the Department of Engineering Affairs at the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Mohammed Hassan Kadhem explained: "The project in general stimulates the Islamic cultural design of the holy city of Karbala, as it contains Islamic arches, Kashi Karbalai and corridors as well as open spaces. The project is designed, executed and supervised by Iraqi staff. The building of the secondary school consists of 20 classrooms, with 25 students for each class, equipped with electronic screens, rooms for computers, internet and all other teaching materials, And the Hawza school consists of 7 classes of 30 students each and a multi-purpose hall, public library and a cafeteria."
Adding: "The project was implemented on two phases, the first included the architectural, mechanical and electrical works, the second phase included equipping the buildings with furniture and installing the cooling, communication, fire systems. The implementation period of the project was of two years and six months, with project area of 7500 m2 including the secondary school Rayhana Warith with four floors and a basement, the women Hawza with the school is of 3 floors and a basement. The project included also a Masjid and a multi-purpose events hall accommodating up to 320 people and a central library with 275 m2 area that can accommodate up to 85 people."
