Believers from various Iraqi provinces and several Islamic countries flocked to the city of Samarra to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine.

The city witnessed widespread participation from processions and service organisations that spread along the roads leading to the shrine, providing various services to the visitors heading to Samarra.

The crowds of believers commemorate this painful occasion annually, in remembrance of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam (peace be upon him), his noble character, his oppression, and his religious and historical significance.

Meanwhile, the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine mobilised the efforts of its staff from various relevant departments to provide the necessary services for the visitors heading towards the holy shrine.
