The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine dedicates its resources to serve the visitors of Samarra on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Askari (peace be upon him)

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has dedicated various resources to serve the visitors heading to the city of Samarra to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Askari (peace be upon him) by providing various health, religious, and logistical services.

The head of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delegation, Mr. Khalil Mahdi Muhammad, said: "The Holy Shrine has given great attention to commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Askari (peace be upon him), under the guidance of its Senior Official, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, and its Secretary-General; Sayed Mustafa Murtada Aal Diya-Uddin."

He added that the procession of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participated in commemorating this painful anniversary with the involvement of several of its departments, as more than 500,000 cups of water and 8,000 ice blocks were provided to be distributed to the service processions spread throughout the city of Samarra, in addition to the processions of the holy shrines and the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine procession itself.

He indicated that the holy shrine has deployed two groups to distribute hot and cold beverages to visitors at the Bab al-Qibla for men and the northern courtyard for women, with more than 100,000 cups distributed so far.

In terms of health and service provisions, the head of the delegation said: The holy shrine provided medical detachments alongside mobile health groups, while the security department offered security and organisational services in cooperation with the Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari's (p) holy shrine.

He explained that the host department continues to provide three meals daily over three days, including about 20,000 breakfast meals daily, in addition to thousands of lunch and dinner meals.

He pointed out that the departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continue to provide their services until the end of the pilgrimage. The Rituals, Processions, and Hussayni Department participated in organising the mourning procession of the people of Karbala, while the Sayed Servants' Department provided cold water and juices to the visitors, in addition to the medical services offered by the Medical Affairs Department.
