Holding a Quranic gathering as part of the activities of the International Mercy to the Worlds Festival

The first day of the inaugural edition of the "Mercy to the Worlds" International Festival witnessed a Quranic gathering with the participation of readers from inside and outside Iraq.

The member of the festival organising committee, Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali, said, "The International Quranic Assembly is one of the events celebrating the noble birth of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) on the occasion of the 1500th anniversary of his blessed birth, and it witnessed wide participation from several readers of the holy shrines and sacred sites in Iraq."

He added that "the gathering was held in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and it aims to spread Quranic culture, as the Holy Book of God is considered the distinguishing feature of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household)."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aims, through the "Mercy to the Worlds" festival, to highlight the humanitarian message of the Noble Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), as a symbol of mercy and peace.
