The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine opened three of its main gates overlooking the yard between the two holy shrines, to accommodate the millions participating in the Twayreej condolence ritual, which have witnessed this year an remarkable and unusual increase in the numbers of participants, who are coming also from other Iraqi provinces as well as from outside Iraq.
The condolence ritual began after the noon prayer of this day, smoothly and according to tracks determined for the entrance and exit of mourners from and to the Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to reduce as much as possible the cases of hustle and jostle. A number of the staff and volunteers were deployed for this purpose, in addition to others who were deployed for the distribution of water or spray it on the mourners, as well as others who welcome alternatively the mourners by spirited Hussayni elegies.
The run of Twayreej is characterized by the great organization and the massive mass attendance, carrying special flags, mostly in green and embroided by "Run of Twayreej" and "Wa Hussayn", in three sizes, large, medium and small, distrubited to the mourners before the start of the demonstration.
